The natural handmade terracotta or cotto tiles with their history to leave traces in all stages of the construction art. THE use of terracotta-cotto is basically one of those pioneers ideas that enabled human society to begin and drive it in the development of culture and the arts. This fact, it is also proven by their presence in countless archaeological sites places, monuments, castles and monasteries in the Greek area but also in wider Mediterranean region.

For centuries now it has been produced with the same way using materials that are abundant in nature. Clay and water are mixed, shaped by hands, placed in wooden molds, dried and then baked in the oven at a high temperature, above 1000΄C.
