Giorgos Karampelas is a Creative Director at K-Studio. He holds a Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master in Architectural Studies from the Glasgow School of Art (Mackintosh School of Architecture) with Distinction. Having lived in London and Glasgow for almost a decade, he has collaborated with international practices such as SOM and Populous in large-scale projects, specializing in high-rise buildings and event spaces. His personal work includes award winning competitions in various scales and typologies, from a public bench in East London to an educational campus in Palermo, Italy. Giorgos joined K-Studio in 2021 as Senior Architect and has been working on projects of different scales, stages and complexity, both in Greece and abroad. He has been successfully coordinating large teams in competitions, masterplans and mixed-use projects, leading to his appointment as a Creative Director in July 2023.
