An object of "contradiction" and surprise. What initially looks like a single, solid and heavy piece of wood turns out to be a light, thin-walled box. A piece of solid wood is hollowed out in order to accommodate stationery (as a pencil case and a pencil holder) or other objects. As the body and lid are made from the same piece of wood, they maintain their visual unity through the continuity of the wood grains.
The simple and modest form highlights the natural beauty of the wood, allowing the user to focus on the shapes and patterns of the wood grains. With the appropriate selection of the wood type and of the certain piece, each BlockBox becomes unique, giving the possibility of customization according to the personal taste of each user or company, while part of it can be colored or even printed.
BlockBox is available in two basic sizes with dimensions 4x4x20cm or 4x8x20cm.
