ArtBlueVillas is located on the slope of a verdant hill, in the location of Tsoukalades in Lefkada. It is a complex of six houses built over the last fourteen years. It consists of four villas with two bedrooms and two larger villas of two and three bedrooms.
Redesign of the dwellings involved the renovation of the complex at two phases of intervention. For the four smaller residences, the first phase was designed to completely renovate them, maintaining the outline of the enclosed spaces and the exposed wooden roofs. It was structurally totally redesigned, demolished walls, expanded the openings to the exterior living areas and the view, and updated the hotel's interior function. Modified bathroom function in relation to rooms, replaced floors, investments, electrical networks, lighting and so on.
The exterior spaces were redesigned for their functional continuity with the interior uses and offering more uses to visitors, sitting and dining areas, swimming pools, barbecues and large shades for shading around them. Swimming pools were expanded and daybeds were built into the water surfaces, floors, railings, walls and volumes of the houses were replaced with locally carved and built stone from the mining points of the island.
About the two largest residences, in the second phase of the renovation, all their structural and architectural features were preserved, and furniture, decoration and lighting were redesigned, updating their aesthetic direction to modern hotel trends.
