The main building consists of a spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining room, four bedrooms and four bathrooms at the 190 m2 ground floor, and a large wine cellar with a space for wine tasting at the 85 m2 basement. An oblong heated swimming pool is located in the centre of the house, with shallow sitting and children’s parts. A large wooden pergola connects the two volumes of the villa and provides a shaded sitting area by the pool. A barbeque and a dining area lie by the pool. In the northeast part, patios & gardens provide private outdoor areas for the bedrooms. The entrance is designed with ramps to provide access to everyone.
Villa Aori is a low energy building with reduced ecological footprint. The external walls of the house are made of reinforced polystyrene (Ecobest), the concrete frame is insulated, and window frames with double energy glass panels are used. The building is energy sufficient: solar panels, heat pumps and photovoltaic systems are used, while the swimming pool is heated with natural gas. The cooling and heating also use low energy systems, in combination with the fireplace. All the electrical devises are Energy Class A+ and the lighting is LED.
