If we could use just one word that can describe the Caldera of Santorini, this is its uniqueness. And that very word with all its qualities, was used as inspiration for the hotel located in Imerovigli village. It is the only resort in the Santorini Caldera, stretching over an area of 15,000 m², with a reception-lobby that exceeds 500 m² and a pool size that corresponds to Olympic dimensions.

Abundance of the magnitude and dimensions of its spaces (which creates the sense of comfort and the desire of liberation and extroversion), balances with the Doric style of the used materials (cement, metal and diligently unprocessed wood). As a result, the domination of the traditional techniques of the cement floor with its deep shades, create in the interior, where the reception and the lobby are located, the new proposal of luxury and simplicity.
On the top of that, and in the name of this freedom and liberation, all public spaces renounce the bulk of furniture and the lighting elements give a more playful touch: hanging crystal lights that refer to the positive energy and the earth’s beneficial properties and other fixtures reminiscent of cocoons, and the magic of metamorphosis.
The spherical openings on the roof of the entrance to the reception refer to the traditional Cycladic architecture, and its extraordinary way of making the most of the natural light along with the elements of nature while at the same time being protected from the weather. The end result is an evocative sculptural space of unity and fluidity - just like our existence. Unique like every one of us.
